Mountain Lake Area's Carter Kirk has signed a Letter of Intent to play basketball at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall.
The Minnesota College Athletic Conference has released their 2013 All-Division Football Teams for the season.
The Minnesota West Bluejays finished the season with a 6-3 record and had 4 players earn First Team All-Division this season in sophomore running back Reuben Linton II, sophomore linebacker Matt Shively, sophomore linebacker Cha'Ron Thompson and sophomore linebacker Dylan Hart.
Augustana sophomore Casey Schilling was named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week the league office announced on Monday.
Schilling, a native of Ellsworth, Minn., started off the season strong averaging 18 points, 11 rebounds, four blocks and three steals over the weekend. Schilling finished the weekend shooting 52 percent (12 of 23) from the field and 62 percent (11 of 17) from the free throw line.

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference has released their All-Division and All-State Volleyball teams for the 2013 season and Minnesota West Libero Maddie Rasche has been named to the 2nd team All-Southern Division team.
Rasche, a sophomore from Heron Lake, led Minnesota West with 4.16 digs per game, which put her 6th in the Southern Division.
Minnesota West finished the season with a 6-12 overall record and was 5-9 in Southern Division play.

ST. PAUL, Minn. – A Minneapolis filling station is offering consumers more choices when filling their vehicles. The Penn Minnoco Station at W 60th Street and Penn Avenue South has E15 and E30 on tap. Vehicle owners with 2001 and later models can use the E15 blend, similar to the current E10. The E30 blend offers additional flexibility for anyone driving a flex fuel car.

Minnesota West sophomore Libero Maddie Rasche has been named the Minnesota College Athletic Conference's Southern Division Libero of the Week.
Rasche, a sophomore from Heron Lake, had 10 digs in the Lady Jays 3-0 home victory over Western Technical College. For the season, Rasche ranks 6th in the Southern Division in digs per game, averaging 4.3 digs per game this season.
