Plenty of Bluejays earn MCAC All-Western Division honors in Football
Minnesota College Athletic Conference has released their 2017 Western Division
Minnesota West had 3 players earn All-Division 1st team honors in QB Peyton Kendrick, WR Reginald Colson III and WR Caleb Tinklenberg.
Kendrick had a fantastic season for the Bluejays, as the sophomore from Tuscon (AZ) compled 161 of 291 passes for a completion percentage of 55% and 2301 yards passing, throwing for 23 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. His passing yards per game average of 287.6 yards was 4th best in the nation and the 23 passing touchdowns was 6th best in the nation.
Reggie Colson was an unstoppable force at receiver this year for the Bluejays. The freshman from Hollywood (FL) had 52 catches for 1170 yards for an average of 146.3 receiving yards per game. Both the receiving yards and yards per game average were both #1 in the nation. Colson had 15 receiving touchdowns this season, the most receiving TD’s in the nation.
Caleb Tinklenberg had a solid season at receiver for the Bluejays as the freshman from Pipestone (MN) had 38 catches for 511 yards and caught 4 touchdown passes for the Bluejays this season.
Minnesota West had 5 players earn All-Division 2nd team honors in Freshman WR Jordan Jensen, Sophomore LB Danny McCann, Sophomore RB Kevin Carter and Freshman OL Aubrey Anderson and Javion Leake
The Bluejays also had 5 players on the Honorable Mention list in Sophomore WR Adonis Finny, Freshman DL Clifton Robbins, Jr., Sophomore LB Michael Preuss, Sophomore, DB Antonio Vaughn and Sophomore SS JarMarkus Sims
