Sorenson named to MCAC All-Division and All-State Baseball teams

The accolades keep coming in for Minnesota West sophomore Tucker Sorenson

After recently being named to the Minnesota College Athletic Conference's All-Southern Division baseball team, Sorenson has now been named to the MCAC All-State Baseball team.

Players from all 15 MCAC baseball teams comprise the All-State Team as Sorenson was 1 of 18 players selected.

This season Sorenson has a sensation season on the mound as the lefty had a 4-1 record this season with a 3.12 ERA.  In 34 and 2/3 innings pitched, Sorenson allowed 12 earned runs on 33 hits, and struck out 45 batters.  He had a strikeout per 9 innings  pitched ratio of 11.68 and a strikeout to walk ratio of 2.64 to 1.  

Sorenson also had a great year at the plate for the Bluejays, hitting for a .337 batting average with an on-base percentage of .455.  Sorenson had 6 doubles, 1 homerun, 19 RBI's and stole 16 bases on the season
