Weekly "Bingo Night" 
It's "Bingo Night" every Tuesday evening at the Reading Community Center! Doors open at 6 p.m. and games begin at 7 p.m. with a payout of over $900 each week! Play 26 games each night! The Reading Community Center uses profits from Bingo to help keep the doors open for community groups to utilize, such as the Elk Tip Toppers 4-H club, Reading First Responders, Reading Booster Club, and other groups.The Reading community center is a 501c3 organization.

Divorce Care
Anyone that is divorced, divorcing, separated, or ending a long term relationship is invited to Divorce Care for Adults and Divorce Care for Kids Sunday evenings from 5:30PM until 7:30PM at the Hope Reformed Church in Spencer.  Participants must pre-register Monday through Thursday by calling 712-262-3016 anytime between 9AM and 3:30PM.

Nixle - Public Safety System
Nixle is a community information service via the Worthington Police Department dedicated to helping you stay connected to the information that matters most to you. You can receive alerts for closed roads, weather alerts, safety alerts, missing persons, general notifications, special events, canvassing witnesses for leads and other evidence. Pipestone County Museum 
Free Admission Saturdays, continuing through Memorial Day of 2013, features exhibits on the Pipestone Fire Department, Pipestone National Monument and Pipestone County Country Schools. Open hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Pipestone County Museum.

Pioneer Village Volunteers
The Nobles County Retired Senior Volunteer Program is seeking volunteers to help staff the office at Worthington's Pioneer Village this summer. Hours are 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. For more information, call 507-295-5262

Worthington Farmer's Markets
The Worthington Farmers Market in downtown Worthington has begun! People are invited to shop the market and enjoy a wide variety of locally produced products including fruits, veggies, eggs, homemade baked goods, plants and more. The Tuesday market will be every Tuesday during the growing season from 4 to 7 p.m. in the former Campbell’s soup parking lot at the end of 10th Street in Worthington. The Saturday market runs every Saturday during the season from 6:30 a.m. to Noon. There is still space for more producers to sell local goods. Producers who would like to sell fresh produce and/or baked goods at the Worthington Farmers Markets can call the Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce at 372-2919 to register.

The American Red Cross encourages eligible donors to give blood this summer, helping to ensure a sufficient supply for patients in need and allowing them to create their summer of stories. July 9 - 4-H Day Camp
The Nobles County 4-H program will offer a Wildlife Academy 4-H Day Camp from 8 a.m. to noon July 9 at Chautauqua Park, Worthington. Participants do not need to be 4-Hs member to attend. They will learn about animal habitats, trees, bison, nocturnal animals and how to track them. Cost is $5 to cover the cost of materials. July 9 - Scott Thoma Presentation
The Nobles County Library and the Nobles County Historical Society are hosting two presentations by author Scott Thoma on Tuesday, July 9. The first will be a brown bag luncheon presentation in the Nobles County Historical Museum (lower level of the library) at noon. The second presentation is at the Adrian Elementary School at 6:30pm.

July 10 - Ice Cream Social
The Lake Sarah Lutheran Church is offering an ice cream social on Wednesday from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Serving includes BBQ, hot dogs, potato chips, ice cream and a beverage for a free will offering.

July 12 - Annual Fundraiser Family Night Out
Come to the Holiday Fest's Annual Fundraiser Family Night Out on July 12th from 5 to 7 p.m. at Ashley Park. Serving includes pork burgers, chips, and beverages for $5 with a free-will donation offering as well (proceeds go towards the Holiday Fest Fireworks and celebration). Come for the food and stay for the music, as Rhythm of the River kicks off at 7 p.m.!

July 12-13 - Worthington International Festival
The 20th Annual International Festival in Worthington is kicking off Friday, July 12th with an opening ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Don't miss performances by the Pachanga Society, a Native Costume Showcase, music from multiple cultures, and delicious unique food available for purchase. July 12-13 - Annual Edgerton Dutch Festival
The 64th Annual Edgerton Dutch Festival is slated for July 12-13th with Friday night to feature the Andy Gibson band followed by Saturday's Great Frontier Bull Riding! Saturday also features an early morning pancake breakfast, a Dutch 5K fun Run, softball tournament, fishing contests and pedal tractor pull, beer garden, inflatables, and arts and crafts! A parade kicks off at 7 p.m. with fireworks following the bull riding event, around 10:30 p.m.

July 12-13 - Thunder in the Valley
Get ready for Thunder in the Valley in Rock Valley, Iowa. Friday kicks off at 7 p.m. with a 6 p.m. start slated for Saturday. Pulling classes include mods, pro, super stock, diesel 4x4 and more! Jackson is once more hosting Rhythm of the River at the Jackson Ashley Park all weekend! July 14 - 9th Annual Cycle Sunday Motorcycle Gathering
The Lamberton Church of Christ's 9th Annual Cycle Sunday Motorcycle Gathering will be held at Kuhar Park on July 14th. The event kicks off at 9:30 a.m. with coffee, cookies and bars and a worship service following at 10 a.m. Riders of all faiths are welcome to attend - don't miss it! July 19-20 - Christmas in July
Adrian is bringing you Christmas in July! Ribs and rims and a cruise in car show will start on Friday at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, don't miss the run/walk at 8 a.m., athletic tournaments throughout the day (disc golf, volleyball, kickball), food and vendor shows, the kiddie tractor pull, or the parade. There's fun for the whole family at Adrian's Christmas in July, July 19th and the 20th.

July 20 - Indian Lake Progressives' Wild 5K Walk/Run
The Indian Lake Progressives' Wild 5K Run/Walk is coming up Saturday, July 20th at the Brewster City Park. Registration begins at 8 a.m. with the 5K run/walk slated to start at 9 a.m. All ages and fitness levels are welcome! Cost is $10 if pre-registered by July 10 (only pre-registered are guaranteed a t-shirt) or $15 the day of the race. July 20 - Brewster Fun Days (Cornhole Tournament)

July 21 - 34th Annual Horned Trout Tourney
The 34th Annual Horned Trout Tournament is slated for July 21st at Eastside Acres of Round Lake. Registration goes from 10 a.m. until noon with the tournament kicking off right at noon. Anything that swims can win! Prizes are available for up to 20th place with a grand prize raffle drawing for a $300 Cabella's gift card at 3 p.m. All ties will be determined by order of registration. There will also be a special Kids' Class with 1-5th place trophies and prizes available.

July 21 - 3-D Archery Tournament
The Des Moines Valley Sportsman Club in Jackson will be holding a 3D archery Tournaments on July 21st from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. July 29 - Worthington Boys Hockey Recruiting Night
Attention hockey players and enthusiasts! Come to the Worthington Boys Hockey Recruiting night at the Arena on July 29th from 7 to 9 p.m. Play some floor hockey, recruit new players, and enjoy free pizza and pop. This is open to boys of all ages! Whether you've never even been to a hockey arena or if you're an all-state pro, this is a great opportunity to join the Worthington Hockey Association and get involved!

July 29-August 1 - Kids College Program
Minnesota West Community & Technical College will be hosting the Kids College Program Monday, July 29 – Thursday, August 1. The Kids College Program is open to kids entering grades 5th- 8th in the fall of 2013 and will be from 9:00a.m. – 3:00p.m. each day. The cost to attend is $50 for the week and lunch is provided for all students. Transportation is also provided for all students in Adrian, Ellsworth, Fulda, Round Lake/Brewster and Worthington School Districts. Registration forms can be found at Registration is due by July 5.
