WORTHINGTON – Due to the quality of the images, approximately 300 women who had mammograms done at Avera Medical Group Worthington in 2013 are being asked to return for a repeat of the procedure.
Tad Jacobs, Avera’s chief medical officer, said about 1,300 mammograms were read at the Worthington facility in 2013, and the callbacks to the 300 have already began. They will likely be completed over the next few weeks with no charge to the patient for the additional imaging.
