Scam clarification

WORTHINGTON - Melissa Brands of The Achievement Center would like to clarify that the cell phone scam reported Wednesday night regarding false messages from Wells Fargo and in some cases "the Achievement Center" had nothing do with the The Achievement Center in Worthington.

A look at the website CallerCenter.org shows the phone number was used earlier this week to ask people to call either Wells Fargo or “The Achievement Center.” In Some cases, it was called "The Achieve Department." One person reported they called the number and got a message stating the number had been shut off by the Federal trade Commission.
