2014 Worthington Windsurfing Regatta & Unvarnished Music Festival

The Worthington Windsurfing Regatta and Unvarnished Music Festival officially kicks off today and continues through Sunday, with a weather forecast that should be a crowd pleaser for guests and windsurfers alike.

Worthington plays host this year to the US Windsurfing Nationals, which has already brought people from around the nation to compete. Registration begins today, and the sight of surfers shooting across Lake Okabena will be a common on in the coming days.

Food vendors are open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today, the beer tent opens at 3 p.m. and opening ceremonies will take place on the Sailboard Beach Stage at 5:30 p.m. Be sure to stay for the musical entertainment:

Wednesday

  • 6:00 p.m. - Jalan Crossland
  • 8:00 p.m. - Ray Wylie Hubbard
  • 10:15-midnight - Shoreline Jam (all musicians and public welcome)

Thursday

  • 6:00 p.m. - Trefoil
  • 8:00 p.m. - Paul Mayasich & RAMM Band

Friday

  • 6:00 p.m. - Narrow Vines
  • 8:00 p.m. - Ispo Facto

Saturday

  • 1:00 p.m. - Larry Myer
  • 3:00 p.m. - Land Shark
  • 6:00 p.m. - The Tinder Box
  • 8:00 p.m. - Ride
