On Monday night, the Worthington City Council approved a resolution that designates PBK Investments, a Minnetonka firm, as the sole developer of the Northland Mall property until the end of the year. This allows Brian Pellowski of PBK to proceed forward with plans to redevelop the current site.
Pellowski the council with what he called a workable plan for the site, and I thought some of you might be interested in hearing that plan and the goings on of that portion of last night’s meeting. You’ll also hear the voices of Mayor pro tem Ron Wood, as Mayor Alan Oberloh was absent, as well as other city council members. Toward the end of today’s Talk of the Town, we’ll hear from Northland Cinema owners Todd Frager and David Fetters, who also have a lot at stake when it comes to mall development.

Nobles County Commissioners honored Assistant Attorney General William Klumpp last week for his work on two murder cases. During a Board of Commissioners meeting, Klumpp received a plaque from the Nobles County Attorney's Office, thanking him for his assistance in prosecuting both cases.
A year ago, 11-year-old Kate Jorgenson lost an arm during a farming accident. Just days before a benefit concert that will take place during Westbrook Fun Days, Justine sat down with the whole family to discuss the accident, Kate's outlook on life and how the now 12-year-old girl is not letting the loss of an arm stop her from jumping in to the deep end - literally.
