The Minnesota State High School Trap Shooting tournament was held June 7th through 9th in Alexandria at the Alexandria Shooting Park, the largest trap shooting facility in Minnesota. They hosted the largest event of its kind in the nation with around 2000 shooters for the weekend.

Junior Varsity:
There were 96 teams participating for a total of 744 shooters. Worthington ended up tied for 9th place, hitting 432 birds out of 500:

The Minnesota Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association has also released their Team and Individual Academic Honors for the 2013 season.

Teams earning Gold Awards (Team GPA of 3.75 or greater) include Tracy-Milroy-Balaton in Class A

Teams earning Silver Awards (Team GPA of 3.50 or greater) include Adrian, Windom and Southwestern United in Class A. In Class AA, Jackson County Central and Luverne earned Silver Awards as well.

On the Class A All-State Team, Mountain Lake Area senior Janessa Peters and Murray County Central senior Taylor Schreier were chosen to the Class A All-State Second Team.
