Minnesota West Lady Jay freshman Tiffany Gehl has been chosen as a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division III All-American selection for the 2012-2013 Women's Basketball Season.
Gehl, a 5'11" freshman from Fulda, was selected as an All-American Honorable Mention selection this season. Gehl led Minnesota West in scoring this season, averaging 20.5 points per game and pulled down 5.5 rebounds per game and handed out 1.8 assists per game. Gehl shot 43 % from the field and almost 75% from the free throw line. She was twice selected as the Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) Southern Division Player of the Week and also was selected once as the NJCAA Division III National Player of the Week during a two-game stretch where she averaged 35.5 points per game.
Tiffany Gehl was selected this season as a First-Team selection on both the MCAC All-Southern Division Team and the MCAC All-State Team. Gehl also earned academic honors this season from the MCAC.
The Minnesota West Lady Jays finished the season with a 20-7 record and finsihed runner-up at this year's Region 13A tournament. Tiffany is the daughter of Mark and Peggy Gehl of Fulda
