Linton named MCAC Player of the Week for 3rd straight week

The accolades continue to pile up for Minnesota West Bluejay sophomore running back Reuben Linton II.

The sophomore from San Antonio, Texas was named Minnesota College Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the 3rd straight week to start the season, earning Southern Division Offensive Player of the Week honors after racking up 246 yards rushing and 4 touchdowns in Minnesota West's 38-6 win over Mesabi Range on Saturday. Through 3 games this season, Linton has amassed 493 yards rushing on 50 attempts, an average of 9.9 yards per carry, and has scored 7 rushing touchdowns this season.

Reuben Linton II was named the MCAC Southern Division Offensive Player of the Week after Week 2 and was named Special Teams Player of the Week after returning two punts for touchdowns in Week 1.

The Minnesota West Bluejay Football Team is now 3-0 on the season and will travel to Thief River Falls to take on the Northland Pioneers on Saturday at Noon
