--Vencel Tigue led Minnesota West with 25 points and added 8 rebounds. Derek Buysee returned to the lineup after an illness and added 23 points. Bluejay men improve to 10-9 overall and are leading the Southern Division with a 5-1 record. The Lady Jays and Bluejays will be at MSCTC-Fergus Falls for a doubleheader on Wednesday

Worthington def. Bagley/Fosston 4-2
--Andrew Johnson had 2 goals for the Trojans with Nick Newman and Anthony Fogelman each adding a goal for Worthington. Carter Ponto got the win in net, stopping 29 shots. Trojan boys are now 2-15-1 on the season and will be at Luverne Tuesday as part of a girl/boy hockey doubleheader.

Big Ten College Basketball:
Minnesota Golden Gophers def. Illnois 79-71
--Andre Hollins led the Gophers with 28 points as Minnesota improves to 13-8 overall and 2-6 in Big Ten play. They will be at Penn State on Wednesday.

Twins News:
The Minnesota Twins have agreed to a one-year deal worth $2.7 million dollar with pitcher Brian Duensing to avoid arbitration. The 31-year-old Duensing had a solid season with the Twins out of the bullpen, posting a 3.31 ERA last season, appearing in 62 games.

NBA Basketball:

--The Hawks have now won 16 games in a row. Thaddeus Young led the Wolves with 26 points as Minnesota falls to 7-36 on the season and are at Oklahoma City tonight to face the Thunder
